Randy Bachman and Peter Frampton are getting new recognition. The guitarists are among the 12 additions to the Musicians Hall of Fame, who'll be welcomed at an event in Nashville Tuesday night.
They are part of the Class of 2014, which also features the late Stevie Ray Vaughan and his band Double Trouble, blues legend Buddy Guy, and guitarist Corki Casey O'Dell, the pioneering female rocker who worked with Duane Eddy and other '50s stars. Eddy will be on hand to celebrate O'Dell's induction.
While Neil Young, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, and Brenda Lee are some of the other stars expected to take part in the ceremony. The late Roy Orbison will be honored at the event as well. He'll receive the 2014 Iconic Riff Award for his guitar work on the song "Pretty Woman."
The Musicians Hall of Fame is the first of two inductions this year for Bachman. He'll also be honored in his homeland this spring with Bachman-Turner Overdrive's addition into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, which will take place as part of the 43rd annual Juno Awards on March 30th.
